Little Buddy (Taylor Baby)

Kym and I used to sing this to Taylor when we were changing him or trying to get him to smile back when he was just a little tyke.  I just did a recording of it at Patuxent Music  with a wonderfully quirky band called Razz'm Jazz'm (which included washboard and saw!).  I'll post it when it's done.  But I changed it from "Taylor Baby" to "Little Buddy" so folks could sing it to their own kids - even if they weren't named Taylor.

CHORUS
Little Buddy, won’t you come out and play
Little Buddy, won’t you come out today
Little Buddy, won’t you come out, come out and play

We’ve got so much to do
And so much to see
Play a game or two
Maybe climb our favorite tree
There’s just no tellin’ what the world has in store
Come out, come out don’t make me wait anymore

REPEAT CHORUS

We can play Hide-n-Seek
Then take off our socks
Wade in the creek
Maybe skip a couple rocks
The day’s a-wasting so do not delay
Come out, come out – don’t make me wait another day
Come on!

REPEAT CHORUS

BRIDGE

Oh, we can go sailing cross the ocean
Or we can fly a big balloon up through the sky
Or if you’re in the mood for locomotion
We can ride the rails both far and wide
But we can’t go a mile ’til you come outside
So come on!

CHORUS
Little Buddy, won’t you come out, come out and –
Little Buddy, won’t you come out, come out and play
