Dinner Bell

Seems like no one knows how to cook these days.  So mama's advice, "The way to a man's heart is his stomach," just doesn't seem to make it in this modern age.   This country song would be great for Shania Twain or someone like her.

Momma told me to win a man's heart
Learn the finer things about culinary art
I have a confession – I never got the hang
Of whipping up confections like toffee or meringue
But my baby don't mind – my recipe's right
For fully satisfying his manly appetite
When the dinner bell rings, he dashes past the kitchen
He knows where I’m cookin' up somethin' more bewitchin'

CHORUS:
Made with three parts honey, a pinch or two of spice
A couple dozen chocolate candy kisses makes it nice
And a secret ingredient I promised not to tell
That's why my baby comes a' runnin' when I ring the dinner bell

Now, you'll never see me getting mad and turning green
If I catch him checking out some fancy French cuisine
I don't get hot and bothered if his eyes start to roam
He looks at other menus, but he always dines at home
When the guys start askin' him – come paint the town
They're never too good at gettin' him to hang around
He says, "Gotta hurry home, boys – supper's in the oven"
And when he hits the door, I serve his favorite dish of lovin'

It's got three parts honey, a pinch or two of spice
A couple dozen chocolate candy kisses makes it nice
And a secret ingredient I promised not to tell
That's why my baby comes a' runnin' when I ring the dinner bell

BRIDGE:
I finally make it home when the workday's through
Pull a box from the freezer – most anything'll do
The key to fine dining is a colorful display
So I garnish his dinner with some fancy lingerie

And serve him three parts honey, a pinch or two of spice
A couple dozen chocolate candy kisses makes it nice
And a secret ingredient I promised not to tell
That's why my baby comes a' runnin' when I ring the dinner bell
My baby comes a' runnin' when I ring the dinner bell!

COOOME AAAND GET IT!
